The philosophy of the Sakatcheway Anishinabe Elementary School is to provide all students with a foundation in the culture, skills, and traditions that the Ojibway people will need to function in the modern world and to ensure that we equip each student to make sound decisions about their life. In addition, the elders of our community tell us that each person has his or her own special gifts. Grades are K through 8, and follow the Ontario Curriculum.

Our School is now using a Hands-on approach in the areas of Math, Language Science and Social Studies. Therefore, we encourage teachers to make use of land based and experiential teaching methods.
