Teaching Job Opportunities

The Grassy Narrows Education Authority has Teaching Job Opportunities.

Our school is constantly on the lookout for educational talent. As a result, we are searching for individuals with specific skill sets to help round out our educational staff. We have much to offer our teachers, and you may wish to check out our brochure which you can find by click or tapping here.

Currently we are looking to fill positions in both our Elementary and High School. (closing date March 8th 2024).

We are currently looking for teachers in our primary division, and are very excited to hear from you!

At GNEA we approach education with Hands On Methods for most subjects.

As educators, we have discovered workbooks and worksheets accomplish little but engaging students in their learning process, with opportunities for discovery and growth has opened students to the possibilities that exist in education.

As such, we have started to do more land base activities with a focus on traditional skills connecting them back to the Ontario curriculum.

Job Opportunities – Elementary

In Elementary we are always seeking individuals who have something new to bring to the table in regards to Hands on Learning. Therefore we encourage people with diverse educational backgrounds to apply.

Job Opportunities – High School

Additionally, in the High School we have started to embrace more of the trades and have a Land Based program established.

We are always looking for new talent. Some of the trades being taught in our school are: hospitality, fashion and design, auto-mechanics, and welding. The high school is looking for a variety of other trades to offer our students.

Highschool Trades Program is one of our Teaching Job Opportunities

Grassy Narrows Education Authority encourages teachers to come up with those novel ideas of how to meet expectations through a variety of methods.

If you think you have something that we can benefit from, please contact us!

Short Answer: Yes, as of October 2020. The community has a water treatment system that provides the community with clean and safe drinking water.

Asubpeechoseewagong Netum Anishinabek (Grassy Narrows First Nation) has recently completed upgrades to its water treatment system. The improved water treatment system now provides the community with clean and safe drinking water. This has eliminated all long-term drinking water advisories affecting the community.

This project also replaced the Snake Point Well and the Mission Road Well with water distribution connections to the main water treatment system. Both long-term drinking water advisories affecting the wells since May 2013 were deactivated in December 2019.
